17 August, 2011. Thoothukudi — A contract worker engaged by OEG Ltd to work in Sterlite’s copper smelter factory sustained first degree burns due to an electrical accident on 13 August. Mr. Thangapandi, aged about 32, is a resident of Pandarampatti. At the time of writing, he still had not returned to work, and was undergoing treatment.
