Cuddalore, 26 August 2009: One contract worker was injured in an accident inside TANFAC on the midnight of 23rd and 24th August 2009. According to the sources Elumalai of Sandrorpalayam village, a contract worker under Murugan, suffered from chest pain and breathing difficulties after inhaling chlorine fumes inside the unit. He was admitted to Krishna Hospital, a private hospital in Cuddalore on 24th morning and was later discharged the same day.
A complaint reporting the same accident was sent to the Factories Inspectorate.
