Clariant Chemicals (India) Ltd has informed BSE that due to the Cyclone “Thane”, which hit Tamil Nadu Coast on early hours of December 30, 2011, the production at the Company’s plant located in Cuddalore has been temporarily stopped. No major damage is caused to the production facility and normalcy in operations are expected to be restored very soon. Asset damage is covered by the insurance policy taken by the Company. There is no impact to the Company’s other plant located near Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu.
